A REMINDER OF GOD’S LOVE The additional bouquet of roses on the altar are from the more than 150 bushes on our church campus. They are a reminder to us of God’s love and constant provision for all our needs.
NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER Due to the vacation of our church secretary (expected) and the illness of Pastor Schaar (unexpected), this past week, our November newsletter didn’t get mailed this past week. It will be taken to the post office on Tuesday this week. We apologize for this delay!
LUTHERAN MALARIA INITIATIVE UPDATE! As of last Sunday (10/23), we’ve collected $2,051.76 toward our goal of $2,500.00 to wipe out malaria deaths on the continent of Africa by the year 2015. We have TODAY left close the gap and send a message to the entire world that everyone can make a difference in the lives of those who live far away. Even $1.00 can save the life of a child or woman, those particularly affected by this disease! Let’s dig deep! Let’s approach friends, neighbors and co-workers. We CAN do this!
ALTAR GUILD ANNUAL MEETING The Altar Guild will have a light luncheon meeting in the Green Room today after worship. President Shelly Daniels invites all current and prospective members to attend!
NEXT SUNDAY! We celebrate All Saints’ Sunday and the Commemoration of the Faithful Departed on Sunday 6 November. Always a touching service, during worship with the ringing of a bell we will remember those from our congregation and from our circles of families and friends who have died during this past year. We will also dedicate our Steinway “B” and the new All Saints’ Garden. A luncheon will follow worship. Invite family and friends!
120TH ANNIVERSARY COMMITTEE The next meeting of our 120th Anniversary Committee has been moved to Sunday 20 November in the Green Room after worship. Additional members are welcome to join the committee!
