ALTAR FLOWERS are given to the glory of God by Karen and Dennis Schaar in celebration and thanksgiving for the birthday of their daughter, Julie Robbins. We thank the Lord for her every day.
A REMINDER OF GOD’S LOVE The additional bouquet of roses on the altar are from the more than 150 bushes on our church campus. They are a reminder to us of God’s love and constant provision for all our needs.
THANK YOU FROM PASTOR GOMEZ “Thank you for your thoughts and prayers during this time. I greatly appreciate your phone calls and cards. I am overwhelmed by the love that surrounds me. It’s comforting to know how much everyone cares. I want to thank Pastor Schaar for being there, visiting me and comforting my wife Andrea. I am feeling better every day, recuperating and getting back my strength. God willing I will be back with you soon.” – Pastor Marcello Gómez.
FALL MEMBERSHIP INVITATION All people not currently members of Historic First Lutheran are invited to join the congregation this fall. There are different ways to formally become a member – either by transferring your membership from another Lutheran church; by affirmation of faith (previously a member at another Lutheran church); or by an independent study and one-day membership class. Please speak to Pastor Schaar if you’re interested in becoming a member of Historic First Lutheran.
OMEGA HANDBELL CHOIR All current and prospective members of our Omega Handbell Choir are reminded that rehearsals resume this Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
