A REMINDER OF GOD’S LOVE The additional bouquet of roses on the altar are from the more than 150 bushes on our church campus. They are a reminder to us of God’s love and constant provision for all our needs.
CHANGES IN OCTOBER Please note that we have had to change our annual Oktoberfest celebration to Sunday 16 October. And we have then had to change our quarterly Voters’ Assembly to Sunday 9 October after worship.

120TH ANNIVERSARY Michealene Melus and Carol Schlichting have been named Co-Chairs of our 120th Anniversary Committee for next year’s big celebration. Anyone interested in being part of the planning committee should indicate their interest to them.
PLAN NOW FOR CITRUS SINGERS This year’s bus trip to the Citrus Singers’ “Christmas Is” concert is scheduled for Saturday 10 December. You will want to save this date on your calendar now. Tickets will be available from Rudy Melinat in October.
PIANO UPDATE Our “Piano Committee” is close to securing us a new Grand Piano for use in worship. Our current Knabe Baby Grand will likely be available for purchase. Interested persons should contact Pastor Schaar.

THAT’S A LOT OF PENNIES! For the month of July, we collected $112.00 in our “Mighty Mite” boxes, forwarding the proceeds to the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League. That brings our total collection during 2011 to a whopping $1,619.00 to support mission work around the world. And that’s a lot of pennies!
