A REMINDER OF GOD’S LOVE The additional bouquet of roses on the altar are from the more than 150 bushes on our church campus. They are a reminder to us of God’s love and constant provision for all our needs.

DOLLAR BILL MINISTRY Thanks to some generous gifts from non-members at Easter time, Pastor has had plenty of dollar bills available to be passed out to the homeless folks he sees around Pasadena. That supply is starting to run low. If you would like to support this daily ministry of Pastor Schaar, you’re invited to hand him dollar bills at the door after worship and know that it will help those who are down and out.
1ST ANNUAL FOOTBALL CAMP A GREAT SUCCESS! On Saturday 25 June, regular worshiper Coach Raul Solis, hosted a very successful football day camp on our field. 17 youth (ages 7 -14) attended and received instruction in football techniques and Christian sportsmanship from 6 high school and college coaches. They also had times of prayer together. Our thanks to Raul for “seeing a need and filling it.” There are already plans underway to expand this youth sports ministry in the future!
120th ANNIVERSARY – 27 MAY 2012! We have received official acceptance of our invitation to The Reverend Gregory Seltz, new Speaker of “The Lutheran Hour,” to be the preacher for our 120th Anniversary next May. Reverend Seltz continues a long tradition of “Lutheran Hour” Speakers to preach at our anniversaries.
PASTOR-TO-PEOPLE HOME VISITS Pastor Schaar will again be making home visits to all members or regular visitors who request one during the months of July and August. Daytime, evening and Sunday afternoon visit times are available. Sign-ups are available on the easel in the Narthex.
