ALTAR FLOWERS are given to the glory of God by Carol Schlichting and Michealene Melus in celebration of Carol’s birthday on 28 August and the anniversary of her parents, Ed & Lois, on 30 August.
A REMINDER OF GOD’S LOVE The additional bouquet of roses on the altar are from the more than 150 bushes on our church campus. They are a reminder to us of God’s love and constant provision for all our needs.
PASTOR IS NOT PSYCHIC! With more than 200 members, 6 employees, 3 acres of property, 8 buildings, 4 tenants and his responsibilities with the Association of Downtown Lutheran Churches and the Pacific Southwest District (planning the 2012 convention) as part of his daily administration, Pastor Schaar cannot possibly be aware of things unless he’s specifically told. So, if you are in need of personal or corporate prayer, are entering the hospital, are recuperating from surgery, desire private communion or have something that is bothering you, please call Pastor. Unless you or a friend or family member calls him, he cannot psychically respond to your needs!
PRAYER FORCE ONE Our weekly Wednesday prayer service, from 11:30 a.m. to 12 Noon, encourages others to join us! You will be blessed – guaranteed!
YES WE KNOW! If you’ve tried calling the church lately, you’ve discovered no answering machine picks up. We’re experiencing some phone line problems (the problem is not the answering machine) and are attempting to get everything working again soon!
IS YOUR WRIST NAKED? If there’s not a colorful witness bracelet on your wrist right now, please ask for another one from Pastor Schaar.
MISSING GREETER’S BADGES If you have mistakenly wandered home with a “Greeter’s Badge” still attached to your clothing, please return it! We’re down to one remaining badge. Thanks!
