Bulletin Announcements from 3/21/2010

ALTAR FLOWERS are given to the glory of God by Mr. & Mrs. Rogelio Douglas in thanksgiving to God for family, as they celebrate the birthday of their son, Russell, and in loving memory of the birthday of Rogelio’s mother, Winifred Douglas. Flowers are also given to the glory of God by Charlie Freeny in thanksgiving to God for His many blessings and the love and support extended her during her ongoing illness.

SHOW OFF YOUR FAITH Fewer and fewer of you are wearing your colorful witness bracelets. If you need another one, please ask Pastor Schaar. If you had been wearing one last Wednesday, it would have qualified for wearing green on St. Patrick’s Day.

HELP US ADVERTISE! Invite family and friends to our special Holy Week and Easter Services by using the postcards available for you from the table in the Narthex. You’re our best advertising!

PORTALS OF PRAYER The April-June edition of “Portals of Prayer,” a great daily devotional resource, is available from the Information Rack in the Narthex.

ATTENTION ALL BRANCHES! There will be a meeting for the Branches Christ Care Group immediately following the worship service today.

COME TO THE GARDEN ALONE – OR WITH A FRIEND! Spring planting has beautified the Margaret Fackler Memorial Garden, located between the Church and Koch Hall. Come early to church – or stay late – and enjoy the meditation bench, flowing fountain and blooming flowers.

EAT! DRINK! LEARN! You’re all invited to our monthly Bible/Prayer Breakfast this Saturday at 8:00 a.m. in the Green Room.

HUMOR FROM THE ORGAN BENCH After worship last Sunday, Mark McCormick shared with Pastor Schaar that all the music he played during the Distribution was from an Irish song book, in honor of the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day. That was Mark’s Irish blood coming out in a humorous way!

USHERS: TAKE NOTE Next week’s service will involve Usher Team #5 – Rogelio Douglas, Henry Hubert, Yashar Kafi and Marlene Ochetti.
