Day 7 of Stalking Pastor

NEWS FLASH: For the first time in almost a week the SUN is out (that orange globe in the sky) and the winds are not hurricane force. What does that mean??? That means it's probably a waverunner day for me out on the water.

Also for the last seven days I have walked the same path, seen the same people, stopped at the same waterfront market for my first coffee of the morning and today I received a LOCAL'S DISCOUNT on my coffee, dropping my cost from $1.34 to $1.20. Amazing how quickly one becomes a "local" around here. Welcome home!!!!

A thought hit my mind this morning on my mind. Maybe someone can answer me. Why do joggers always look so miserable??? I see joggers every morning as I am walking leisurely enjoying my cup of coffee. Every jogger I see looks in pain, never with a smile on his or her face. Why do people enjoy looking at acting like they're in pain?? Seems like a strange recreational activity.....but that's just me.

Last night dinner was at Blue Heaven, a very well known local restaurant where waits for tables on weekend evenings can literally be 2 hours with or without reservations. My friends Brian and Paul from New York (Long Island) and five of their other friends from the Jersey Shores all came along and we had a blast. Mojitos around the table. Lots of pork tenderloin. Some seafood. One steak (not me!)

The powerboaters are in town and compared with the Parrotheads we don't even know they're here. Unlike the parrotheads, the powerboaters don't move in herd mentality around town, like a collective. And they're much more polite and actually tip the service industry.

There is a cruise ship in town this morning so Duval street will be packed today.

More tomorrow......
