OFFICIAL RESPONSE FROM THE SYNODICAL PRESIDENT The Reverend Dr. Jerry Kieschnick, President of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, has issued a formal response to the recent actions of The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America regarding homosexuality. MONTHLY FINANCIAL UPDATE Thanks to your generous contributions during the month of August, our monthly income exceeded our monthly expenses by $1,672.12, reducing our year-to-date deficit to $4,993.14. Way to go!

GWEN HANCOCK FUNERAL As many of you know, Gwen Hancock died this past Monday evening at age 81. Her funeral will be here at Historic First Lutheran this Friday (9/11) at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Rose Hills, followed by a luncheon in the Green Room.
